'Pump & Dump' spams for
2008
Here is the monthly breakdown of the
number of 'Pump & Dump' and 'Share Ramping' spams that I have received. This
scam involves the spammer buying shares in a worthless company. The spammer
then spams continually about the company to get suckers to buy shares. As
the share price ramps up, the spammer dumps the shares at a profit, leaving
the sucker to lose all their money.

As to the breakdown of percentages of the total number
of spam types received, it is as
follows:
One of the spamming main stays, the pump & dump spams have
started to increase during 2007. It's quite common for the more clueless
spammers to forget which company they pump & dumped the month before, and
pump them again the following month or week.
