The beach at Eype Mouth, under Hope Corner, towards Thorncombe Beacon.
The majestic River Eype sweeps down to the sea at Eype Mouth. The concrete and brick structure just hidden by the grass on the right-hand ridge line, is a WWII pill-box.
With a long, hot and dry summer and autumn, the River Eype has
less flow than usual.
A bridge has been built connecting Eype Mouth the the cliff top path running
east.
