Uchu (Capsicum chinense Jacq.) From Brazil at San Jose de Uchupiamonas, Tacana and Quechua Indian towns, over looking the Rio Tuichi in La Paz Department, Iturralde Province. Local name in Quechua dialect. Shrub to 2m tall. Flowers nodding, petals yellow, anthers purple. Fruit to 6cm long, pendulous, shiny green turning red, conical, wrinkled, ribbed. Seeds white.
