Bantam   Dwarf cultivar. Bonney   This variety is thought to be an eastern Caribbean version of the Scotch Bonnet but you rarely see a yellow fruit, they mature to red. Also known as Barbados Chile. It is an extremely hot C. chinense and the pods measured 2" long by 1 1/4" wide.

From the island of Eleuthera in the Bahamas. Grows as a bush about 2 feet tall by 3.5 feet wide. The pods range from 1 to 2 inches long and about 1/4 to 3/8 of an inch in diameter and mature to orange or, in a longer season, to red. The pepper is wrinkled with pleats by the sepals.
