Southwestern Beef and Beans Chili Posted by: "Mom2Sam Tiny" jlbart1974@earthlink.net jenntinysam Tue Oct 31, 2006 5:12 am (PST) Southwestern Beef and Beans Chili 2 (15 1/2 ounce) cans of pinto beans 6 cups of beef broth ½ pound of salt pork, chopped up 1 pound of chuck steak cut into 1 inch cubes 1 red chili pepper 1 medium onion, chopped 2 toes of garlic minced 1 (6ounce) can of tomato paste 2 tablespoons Chili powder 2 tablespoons ground cumin 1 teaspoon of marjoram Brown the salt pork and drain on paper towels. In a slow cooker place all the ingredients and cook for 1 hr on high and reduce heat to simmer for 8 to 9 hrs.
