My ex-girlfriend's Chili my ex-girlfriend's recipe is irritatingly amazing: 1 can chili beans (do not drain any of the beans!) 1 can chickpeas 2 cans red kidney beans 1 bell pepper 1 to 2 tomatos 1 onion 1 small package of TVP (about 2 packed cups) 1 to 2 packages of vegan TACO spice (NOT chili spice)- it shouldn't be too hard to find a vegan brand at a standard grocery store. Also I recommend picking one that doesn't list 'maltodextrin' as the first ingredient. Then when you get home: slice the veggies, and dump it all in a big pot and simmer for 4 hours, stirring every 10-15 minutes or so.
