Brown's Famous Chili Making chili is an intuitive thing. You've got to do what tastes good to you. Here's what I put in the pot in varying degrees. Tomato sauce Canned tomatos Green pepper Onion Zuchini (sometimes) Mushrooms (sometimes) Browned ground beef Kidney beans Spiced with: Red cayenne pepper Oregano Cumin Garlic Salt Red Hot Sauce Beer (half for the pot, half for you) You can eat this as soon as you'd like to but it's best to give it at least an hour to simmer. But, oh! If you give it all day then the flavors blend and your house smells warm and homey and you are positively in heaven!
