Hot Time in the Old House Tonight Chili 3 T sunflower or corn oil 2 large onions, chopped 2 cloves garlic, minced 1 lb. Honeysuckle White ground turkey 2 T. chili powder 1/2 t. dried red chili pepper, minced (can use flakes) 2 1-lb. cans Del Monte Mexican stewed tomatoes 2 1-lb. cans Del Monte original stewed tomatoes 1/4 cup Pace medium picante Salsa 1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped Heat oil medium high in large pot. Add onions and garlic; cook till wilted. Add turkey; cook, breaking up, until all is brown. Add chili powder and chili pepper; stir. Add stewed tomatoes, salsa, and cilantro. Heat to boil and then reduce heat to simmer. Cook about one hour until flavors are blended. Taste during cooking to adjust seasoning, you may want to add more hot pepper!
