Brown in skillet. 2) Place in a dutch, adding tomato sauce and an equal amount of water. Add chopped onion, garlic, jalapeno peppers and chili powder. Simmer for 20 minutes. 3) Add cumin, oregano, salt and cayenne pepper. Add beef stock, add water if needed. 4) Simmer covered until meat is tender, about 2 hours, stirring occasionally. Can be thickened with cornstarch as needed. Add paprika for colour. 5) Cook 10 additional minutes, correct seasoning to taste.
